መመሳሰላችንን አይቼ መጠርጠር ነበረብኝ። 😁

Six months have passed since I followed in the footsteps (👀) of Aregahegn and fractured my right heel bone. Exactly the amount of time my Wegesha said it would take to heal completely. He was right.

What I thought would be a quick setback turned into a humbling ride—one that showed the strength of those around me, the limits of my own impatience, and the power of being grateful. This wasn’t just about healing a fractured bone. It was so much more than that.

When you change the way you look at things… the things you look at change.

እነሆ።

What good has come from my injury?

  1. I see that jumping is a serious skill that needs proper training. Also… never underestimate vertical distance.

  2. I suddenly had a lot of time to work on myself - spiritually, mentally and socially.

  3. Now, I can relate to other people that have made impulsive and consequential decisions in their past. It’s no longer foreign to me. I get you, fellow traveler in life. 👊🏽

  4. I got to see how dysfunctional the modern medical industry in Addis can be. Saw this when I got my first X-ray.

  5. I got to see how sophisticated machinery doesn’t always translate to a job well done. True mastery takes presence and dedication. Hats off to Wegesha Abera.

  6. I got to see how effective and efficient traditional remedies can be. ፌጦ ነሽ፣ ጥቁር አዝሙድ ነሽ፣ ተልባ ነሽ... መጣሁልሽ።

  7. Noticing how valued Wegesha Abera is in the community genuinely inspired me to meditate on my inner calling. I have a hunch that I may have found it.

  8. I saw the causal relationship between how I was using AI and impatience. This inspired me to significantly alter how I work with it.

Now, I’m mostly using AI as an extension, not a replacement. I don’t offload things that I want to master anymore.
